Nail-biter Jasper to Lake Louise video

In this video, we travel from Jasper to Lake Louise; a 231km trip without any chance of charging. We travel the stunning Icefield Parkway through the National Parks of Jasper and Banff, climb over two 2000m+ passes and even have some fun with gas pump attendants.

  3. Yikes, I almost had a heart attack there at the end with the “disaster struck” comment! I’m glad you figured a work around. Was the misinformation on the Tesla supplied map, or on an app? I wasn’t sure.
    Can you tell me what hitch you are using for your trailer pulling? We are showing our X at the 4th of July car show in Eureka, CA, USA next week, and we are going to put its tow package on display so that people can see it.

    • Thanks for the great feedback, always nice to hear! 😉 It was the on-board navigation system and it took us to an always gated exit of the campground instead of the entrance, which happened to be closest to the highway and just past the campground. So it wasn’t completely off, but not exactly right either 😉
      The hitch we’re using is just the one supplied by Tesla. Have fun at the show!! We’re doing one tonight in Calgary and one tomorrow in Red Deer, but the 4th of July one is probably much bigger!

  5. Hallo Silke und Rolf
    Habe heute Nacht euer Video Jasper – Banff gesehen. Prima gemacht! Eine schöne Gegend dort. Wir waren ja auch dort vor ein paar Jahren mit eurem Wohnmobil, den gleichen Weg. Auch die Wanderung am lake Luise haben wir gemacht (ganz tolle Aussichten auf den See).
    Freue mich, dass ihr den etwas schwierigen Weg gemeistert habt. Es ist ja auch interessant, wie viele Menschen ihr trefft, die neugierig euer Gespann ansehen.
    Weiter so und viel Spaß unterwegs.

    • Ganz lieben Dank! Ja, wenn man mal da gewesen ist, kann man sich alles viel besser vorstellen. Fotos oder Videos werden dem einfach nicht gerecht. Trotzdem werde ich dieses Wochenende das Video für die Lake Louise Wanderung zusammenschneiden (wir hängen ein bisschen hinterher ;-)…) aber erst mache ich noch die Fotos der beiden Autoshows für Facebook fertig. Sind jetzt ein paar Tage in Calgary und haben dafür Zeit 😉 Ganz liebe Grüße von uns Dreien! Silke
