On our Way Home through the US

On March 25, 2017, barely a week ago, we started our way back home. We now have less than three weeks left before we’ll be home in Victoria, British Columbia. But we’re not going the shortest route from Florida, we are going via California. And we’re also not only picking Supercharger routes, but are going off the beaten Supercharger track.

Two More Canada Videos Online!

Okay, we’ve put a ton of new videos online on YouTube and Facebook, and I only now get the chance to share those here. Rolf is trying to finish the Canada videos while we’re also covering our current trip through Southern US mostly via videos. Often, the wifi we get isn’t good enough for uploading, so we’ve created quite a back lock. Let me start with two more videos from our cross Canada trip:

No. 26 Québec to New Brunswick – another Nail Biter

Great French breakfast in Quebec and we are off to ‘No quick chargers with long stretches between slow chargers’ – Country. What a nail biter!

New Video: Safari Condo Factory Tour

We have a new video online! Join us for a tour of the Safari Condo factory where our camping trailer was made. We had such a great time with the Nadeau family!

Thanks so much for showing us around and throwing a wonderful party for us – including an impromptu, private Electric Vehicle Show with a Tesla Model S, our own set up and two Chevy Volts!

Happy New Year 2017!

Hi, everybody! Just a quick update: We will continue our travels end of March, going Ft. Lauderdale FL to Victoria BC via California. We assume it’ll take about a month. We’re ready to get home, so we won’t dawdle :-), but there’s a few things we want to do along the way. We’re not planning any events, though. We had intended those for Canada only.

Also, Rolf has started to work on the remaining videos again. I’ll be sharing them in this blog ASAP.

All the best for you, success, health and happiness!

This is Leadership…

Rolf and I are proud to announce that our story – and therefore also yours – has been published by www.ThisIsLeadership.org.

I sincerely apologize for not being able to list everyone and all of you who have inspired us so much this year. I was only able to list a few names, but we’re both extremely grateful that we had the chance to meet and talk to all of you. You give us hope. It’s great to know that you – and people like you – are ‘out there’. Thank you all!!!

Here’s an excerpt from our www.ThisIsLeadership.org post:

“…    The most amazing thing, something that we had not expected at all, was to meet all those other ‘leaders’, all those individuals that had taken up responsibility for themselves AND others – already long before us. There is Kent Rathwell who we met in Saskatchewan, the founder of Sun Country Highway, the electric car charging network that lets you drive, fully electric, from Victoria BC to St. John’s NL. He did this, and much more, to ensure transportation becomes sustainable.

There is Sylvain Juteau who we met in Quebec, the founder of Roulez Electrique, an EV Charging Station concept, that not only lets you charge any electric car even in the luxury of a heated indoor garage, but also offers advice, information, coffee, a place to have your own lunch, do business, have an afternoon snooze, rent electric bikes and even try out electric cars. He did that to ensure his three kids will have a healthy world to live in.

There is Joshua Green, a young guy we met in Newfoundland, who took it upon himself to organize the means and the location for a much-needed electric car charger in the middle of the island. He did this because nobody else did.

And there were so many more, Onanole Campground that gets its power from solar, Ian who is raising money for electric car associations by selling T-shirts onlinePeavey Mart that is proud to be powered by renewables and offers electric car charging at most of their stores.   …”

Thank you all for ‘lighting so many candles’! Rolf and Silke

Video 22 online: Montreal Meet-up

Join us for our Meet-up in Montreal organized by the Club Tesla Québec on the premises of Adonis Supermarket. Meet Ian, the ‘Mad Hungarian’ and find out about his EVOLVEwear T-Shirt fundraiser. The Meet-up is followed by a Tesla convoy through Montreal and around the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. After charging at the CHAdeMO charger at Roulez Electrique in Trois-Rivieres we continue on to our campground near Quebec City.

Thank you, Club Tesla Québec, for organizing this amazing event! Great location, great turn out and what fun we had with the convoy!

Thank you, Adonis Supermarket, for letting us use your premises for this event!
