Hi, everybody, long time no read. 😉 Remember us? The crazy couple (and sane dog) that started on a cross Canada trip in June 2016 with a Tesla Model X pulling a Safari Condo Camping Trailer?! And after having arrived in St. John’s NL continued on to Florida and California before returning to Victoria BC for a total of 33,000 fully electric kilometres?! Yep, that’s us!
I have to admit, once we got home in April 2017 and participated in the Victoria BC Earth Day Event, we were exhausted. Hence, not much happened on this blog. Also, in June, we started a new project, but more about that at a later date.
At this point, I’d like to share something that is long overdue: Our 2017 Earth Day Presentation about our Cross Canada Trip. I hope you enjoy it.
Many Thanks to Creatively United for giving us the opportunity to share our experience and for producing this video!
Rolf published another video! Almost there 😉
If you missed our Earth Day Presentation, you’ll get another chance: Rolf and I will be giving a presentation about our 100% electric Cross Canada Trip in a Tesla Model X towing a Camping Trailer at the
The event is free, just drop in. Looking forward to meeting you there!

Arrived at the “other” Mile Zero at St. John’s NL
April 9, 2017: Redding CA to Springfield OR. Lots of driving. Some ‘fast forwarded’ Supercharger fun. Charging the car’s batteries going downhill through regenerative breaking. Kye meets a ‘bear’… Enjoy the scenery!
Getting closer to home every day! Quickly visited “The Mothership”, then charged at Dublin Superchargers (SC) and Service Centre before continuing on to Corning SC via Vacaville SC. Bought some olive oil in California’s ‘olive metropolis’ and finally headed to the Best Western Plus Hilltop Inn in Redding because they have Destination Chargers. We like to support businesses that support Electric Mobility!
A Flashback to Indian Summer 2016, a quick visit from Vermont back to Sherbrooke, Québec. I had so much fun with Kye on this beautiful, crisp fall morning at Camping Deauville. This video is a true picker-upper! ;-D
On March 25, 2017, barely a week ago, we started our way back home. We now have less than three weeks left before we’ll be home in Victoria, British Columbia. But we’re not going the shortest route from Florida, we are going via California. And we’re also not only picking Supercharger routes, but are going off the beaten Supercharger track.

Okay, we’ve put a ton of new videos online on YouTube and Facebook, and I only now get the chance to share those here. Rolf is trying to finish the Canada videos while we’re also covering our current trip through Southern US mostly via videos. Often, the wifi we get isn’t good enough for uploading, so we’ve created quite a back lock. Let me start with two more videos from our cross Canada trip:
No. 26 Québec to New Brunswick – another Nail Biter
Great French breakfast in Quebec and we are off to ‘No quick chargers with long stretches between slow chargers’ – Country. What a nail biter!
On Earth Day, April 22, we will be part of the Sustainability Showcase at the Royal BC Museum in Victoria BC Canada. The event is organized by Creatively United for the Planet and includes
From Mile Zero in Victoria BC…
…to Mile Zero in St. John’s NL – 15,000km in 3 months!
We charge again at Roulez Electrique in Trois-Rivieres and interview a Chevy Spark owner. We then travel to our last camping spot in Quebec at Cap-Saint-Ignace, a parking lot next to a Tesla wall charger.
